Just A Breeze
A horse that saved me in more ways than one. I just wish I could have done the same for her. The horse that all my equine relationships will be compared to. Probably never to be matched.
A part of my life that will never be forgoten.
Unfortunately there very few images of Breezie. I was young and not very aware of lost pasts yet.
Just a Breeze was just a blast!

Walk About’s Iceman
Everyone’s best friend. But especially mine. A beautiful sole who arrived at the right time. A special friend to Bill, myself and Doc.
Ice was purchased as a puppy when I was working with horses. Because of that we were able to spend a lot of time together. He was with me day and night. And if he was not with me he was with Bill.
Ice logged many miles trekking out with Doc and I as well as with me and many other horses. He also traveled every where Bill and I went. He went with me to many stables and jobs. He went on many trips to visit friends. And all vactions and trips that Bill and I took. He was quiet and easy to sneak into hotels.
Ice was with us a long wonderful 13 years. Sadly he went into renal failure and we lost him about 6 months later.
Bill never spent so much time with a dog before and there is a special hole in his heart that will always miss Iceman. I don’t know if any other dog can ever come close to filling that hole for him, nor me for that matter

Jane Doe
She showed up on the back porch one
day and did not leave until the end. A wonderful little calico cat. Our first cat in the
A sweeter more well behaved stray could not be found. A poor kitty that was probably a nice old lady’s pet. She was spayed, loved to be brushed (and knew what a brush was) and was perfectly trained to stay off counters and not scratch every thing up. Most likely “Dumped” at the farm. Possibly when her original owner passed or moved away.
Jane is still very missed around the place. She was losing a little weight and I was planning on taking her off to work when she went out one day and never came back. I am pretty sure that she went off to pass over the rainbow bridge on her own. I just hope and pray that the passing was gentle.

Heidi
Heidi was with us for just a short time. She will always be remembered though. What a character she was.
Heidi was to stay with Bill for just the winter. Bill’s
dad purchased her as a hunting dog prospect. She was a lovely little American Water Spaniel. Bills Father dropped her
off on his way to
Heidi was with us for another year or so. Unfortunately one night when she went out in the fenced horse lot she disappeared. Ice who was just a young man was there, but no Heidi. We finally found her the next day. Some how she got over or under the fence and onto a busy 4 lane highway at the end of our driveway. Heidi’s life was dramatically shortened by an attempt to cross this road.
I will always remember her boundless energy and smiling eyes.
